Jennifer Slifer, a Phoenixville resident, crowned her visit to Las Vegas with a win at the 2023 APA 8-Ball Classic Pool Championship late last month, according to a staff report from The Daily Local News.
Slifer is one of almost 6,000 pool players throughout North America who tried to qualify for the American Poolplayers Association’s championship. She was one of only 860 who made it to the national finals at the Westgate Las Vegas.
She competed in the Blue Tier — her finals match was live streamed — and won a cash and prize package worth $15,000 as well as the ultimate bragging rights at her local poolroom.
Slifer plays pool regularly. She is a member of the local APA League in Chester County.
