Home Prices Are Rising Fastest in These 4 Delaware County Towns

Four Delaware County communities made a top 50 list of fastest-growing home price rises in Pennsylvania based on a change in home values, according to Stacker.

Swarthmore ranked 47h on a list of 50 top fastest-growing home prices in Pennsylvania. 

A typical home is valued at $392,745. Prices have seen a 6.4 percent rise in a year, increasing on average by $23,767. Over five years, prices have jumped 45.4 percent, by $122,611.

Media ranked 41st on the list. A typical home value there is $540,649. Prices in a year have jumped 4.9 percent, by $25,036. The five-year price change has jumped 42.3 percent, by $160,746.

Glen Mills placed 18th on the list. A typical home value there is $610,323. The community has seen a 5.5 percent jump in prices in a year, up $31,966. Its five-year price change is at 36 percent, or $161,555 more.

Garnet Valley ranked 17th in home price rise.  A typical home value there is $604,479.  It has seen a one-year price change of 5.6 percent or $31,982. Its five-year change is 35.8 percent, up $159,488.

Data was available for 691 cities and towns in Pennsylvania.
