A beer tradition continues this Memorial Day weekend when craft breweries across Pennsylvania distribute a special brew. “Adapt and Overcome: Get Your Six”, honoring veterans, reports Breweries in Pennsylvania.

This will be the fourth year in a row that the breweries have collaborated on the beer project.

Ingredients come from Pennsylvania veteran-owned and operated businesses.

Grain and malt for this year’s beer will come from Deer Creek Malthouse in Glen Mills.

“Adapt and Overcome: Get Your Six” will be released for sale at selected breweries across Pennsylvania, including Deer Creek Malthouse.

The craft beer is a 6 percent India Pale Ale brewed with Spelt, Toasted Oats, and Pale Wheat malts.

Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Citra, Comet, and Simcoe hops were used in this recipe to bring out flavors and aromas of papaya, melon, and stone fruits with a soft and fluffy finish.

Sale proceeds go to the Keystone Military Family organization.

The organization supports military families and deployed troops with groceries, clothing, household items, and furniture while also shipping up to 100 care packages monthly and 10,000 Christmas stockings annually.

“Since 2019, the PA Veterans’ Collaboration Beer has raised over $60,000 to support fellow Pennsylvania veterans,” the release states.
