“You can take me to the finest meal and on my way home I’d like to stop at Wawa,” said Cherylann Siple.

Now that’s a fan.

Siple was there the day the Boothwyn Wawa first opened its doors in 1969. When it relocated up Chichester Avenue in 2021, she was there for the old store closing and the new store opening.

In fact, Siple, 70, of Wilmington, Del. has gone to the Boothwyn store every day between 10 and 10:30 AM for 30 years, writes Stephanie Farr for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“I’m as regular as the sun rising,” she said.

Siple was honored as a “day brightener” a promotion Thursday that coincided with Wawa’s 59th annual Wawa Day.  The company honored one customer at each of its Wawa stores whom the staff looks forward to seeing.

Siple was honored with a visit from Wally Goose, receiving a shiny sash, flowers, a Wawa coffee mug, and free coffee for a week.

For Siple and the staff, it’s more than just customers and workers.

The staff dropped off meals to Siple when she was in an accident a few years ago.

And when staffers at the store have babies or lose loved ones, Siple sends them gifts.
