Thayer Distribution, a minority-owned and family-operated candy and convenience food distributor is leasing 88,665 feet of space at the Springbrooke Trade Center in Aston, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The wholesale distributor is expanding its footprint in Delaware County.

Taking on more space at the Center allows Thayer to continue growing while keeping its operation in a single location.

The company will move to the new space at 300 Springbrooke Blvd. in the second half of 2023.

Thayer Distribution already has its headquarters at the Springbrooke Trade Center.

The Center is a newer two-building, 484,000-square-foot industrial development completed in 2022.

It is now fully leased with Thayer’s expansion into Building 1.

“The Philadelphia Metro industrial market continues to see a huge amount of demand for Class A industrial space and, though there is a vast amount of space currently in development, we don’t believe we’ve reached equilibrium yet for supply/demand,” said John Pollock, senior vice president for Trammell Crow, which developed the site.

The 32-acre Trade Center was developed by Trammell Crow Co. in partnership with Affinius Capital, the real estate arm of USAA.

Trammell Crow in Dallas, is a wholly owned subsidiary of CBRE Group Inc.
