The Philadelphia restaurant scene is action-packed this year and restaurant growth includes expansions, comebacks, and new locations as restaurateurs move past the uncertain pandemic years, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Restaurant growth is seen with at least five dozen restaurant projects in the region for 2023, two of them in Delaware County.

The price of a liquor license in Philadelphia is now $185,000, just below all-time highs from before the pandemic, an indicator of the area’s restaurant health.

A new Amada restaurant from chef Jose Garces is coming to 555 E. Lancaster Ave. in Radnor this spring while he also looks at franchise deals for his Buena Onda taquerias and opens a place in the Kimmel Center.

Fearless Restaurants plans to open a second location of its Italian restaurant Rosalie (now in Wayne) in the former Ruby’s Diner space at the Shoppes at Britton Lake in Glen Mills later this year.

Fearless Restaurants owns a White Dog Cafe in the same Glen Mills center and also plans to open a White Dog Cafe at the former Vickers Tavern in Exton later this year.
