These 3 Delaware County Restaurants Highlight Good Taste
Finding tasting menus doesn’t always mean a trip to the city.
Tasting menus, a trend that started with the pandemic, can be found at three Delaware County restaurants, writes Jenn Ladd for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
These fixed-price meals may come with a higher price tag but offer an exciting dining experience.
At The Table
Chef couple Alex Hardy and Tara Buzan provide six-course tasting menus that change monthly.
Among the offerings are scallop crudo over ginger-horseradish puree, duck confit ravioli with Meyer lemon Alfredo, and stuffed pheasant.
The Silverspoon
The Silverspoon is popular for brunch, but chef Ron Silverberg also creates an occasional tastings menu usually focused on seasons or a holiday. A recent “Shore to Shore” menu had New Jersey peach crostini, Maine scallops wrapped in thick-cut bacon, and Washington state apple cider doughnuts with maple semifreddo.
Village Vine
Swarthmore’s first wine bar focuses on high-quality, but approachable food from Chef Juan Ocampo that pairs well with the bar’s inventory.
The Hidden Talent tasting menu series highlights the skill of other invited chefs showcasing one ingredient on a multi-course menu. Coming up in November is Her Supper Club line cook Zachary Broadman.
