It must be fall because everybody’s got pumpkins.

Here in Delaware County, you can go right to the source at Arasapha Farms and Linvilla Orchards, writes Michelle Reese for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Arasapha Farms at 1835 Middletown Road in Glen Mills is better known for its  Haunted Hayride and Bates Motel experience, but there’s also a child-friendly hayride to the 4-acre pumpkin garden where you can choose from hundreds of pumpkins.

Admission of $20 per child includes mini-golf, pedal cars, a playground, corn maze, pillow bounce, and games. Adults enter for free, except for the corn or sunflower maze.

This year’s 5-acre corn maze includes a virtual scavenger hunt.

Linvilla Orchards at 137 W. Knowlton Road in Media hosts Pumpkinland every fall with larger-than-life scarecrows, apple picking, hayrides, corn and straw bale mazes, and pumpkins for purchase.

There’s also a train ride, playground, fishing at Orchard Lake, and the Witch’s House to hear stories and jokes.

A Jack-O-Lantern exhibit runs the last two weeks in October.

Come in costume on Sunday, Oct. 30, for the annual Costume Parade. Each child that participates receives a treat. The top three in each group get a special prize.
