In 2022, LoanStar Technologies in Swarthmore placed second on the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Soaring 76 list of the fastest-growing companies headquartered in the region.

It joined five other Delaware County companies that also made the list, writes Lisa Dukart for The Philadelphia Business Journal.

The financial technology company had a two-year growth rate of 145.93%

It reported a 2021 revenue of $3.41 million, up significantly from a 2020 revenue of $1.6 million and a 2019 revenue of $574,249.

LoanStar’s technology platform allows providers like contractors and medical practitioners to offer financing to customers at the point of sale.

Coming in 9^th on the list was AMREP Corp., a real estate company headquartered in Havertown. It had a two-year growth rate of 79.86%, with a 2021 revenue of $40.07 million, a 2020 revenue of $18.78 million and a 2019 revenue of $12.83 million.

Other Delaware County companies that placed on the total list of 76 were:

Aclaris Therapeutics Inc, a biopharmaceutical company in Wayne, which placed 47^th.

Results Repeat, a marketing firm in Media, placed 50^th.

IT Service ArchTechs LLC, an information technology company in Springfield, placed 59^th.

Curotec, an information technology company in Wayne, placed 60^th.
