Michael Kane, the Delaware County man who gave us Christmas Prism, a free app that lets you track Christmas light displays, now has a new FrightMaps app for Halloween, writes Victor Fiorillo for Philadelphia Magazine.

The free FrightMaps app is easy to use.

Decorators can upload photos of their Halloween display along with a location, title, description and email address.

Users can now visit any display logged in with the app, with display locations indicated on a map with icons.

You can check in at different locations and leave a review.

A bonus with the FrightMaps app lets homeowners indicate if they are giving out candy. Users will receive notifications of any candy houses near them on Halloween.

Halloween attractions like haunted houses and spooky hayrides are also shown on the app.

Kane, says he’s already had a good response, with some Halloween displays listed as far away as Texas.

The app designer says he’s a bit obsessed with Halloween decorations.

“My sister and I started hosting walk-through haunts in our neighborhood when we were kids, giving people walkie-talkies and stuff. I’ve amassed quite a collection of Halloween items over the years.”
