Four-time Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn is the latest celebrity spokesperson for Idorsia’s insomnia treatment, Quviviq, writes Isabel Tehan for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Idorsia is a Swiss pharmaceutical company with its U.S. headquarters in Radnor.

Vonn will share her personal experiences with insomnia and talk about how Quviviq, has helped her.

Quviviq is Idorsia’s first US commercial product. The prescription-only medication blocks the binding of wake-promoting neuropeptides.

Vonn will work with actor and Broadway star Taye Diggs, who is also a Quviviq patient.

The two will encourage those who are struggling with insomnia to talk with their doctors about treatments.

“I’m grateful to have found a treatment option that works for me,” Vonn said in a statement. “I urge those who struggle with sleep to start a dialogue with their doctor so they can find a solution too.”

Idorsia already has a multiyear deal with Friends actress Jennifer Anniston for its “Seize the Night & Day” campaign.

Vonn has had insomnia since 2013 following a knee injury that caused pain and anxiety about her health.

She continued to have trouble sleeping even after recovering and retiring from competitive skiing in 2019.
