Shreyas met Colleen over a dating app, intrigued by Colleen’s claim she makes the world’s best chocolate chip cookies, writes Kellie Patrick Gates for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Colleen, who grew up in Glen Mills and Shreyas, a native of Reston, Va., ended up moving into a Jersey City apartment together in June 2019.

Colleen, now 30, works in corporate communications. Shreyas, 31, is a business analyst and a JPMorgan Chase vice president.

By Oct. 15, 2020, they were celebrating their third anniversary as a couple. That’s when Shreyas proposed.

A weekend April 23, 2022 wedding event was planned at Springfield Country Club so family and friends separated by distance and COVID would have a chance to mingle.  The ceremony honored her Catholic and his Hindu traditions.

After the Saturday morning Hindu wedding, the couple switched from wedding sari and kurta to a gown and tux, reconvening at St. Thomas the Apostle in Glen Mills, Colleen’s childhood parish church, for a traditional Catholic ceremony.

“We have been married in front of all of the gods,” Colleen jokes.

And Colleen has perfected her chocolate chip cookie recipe.

“They are definitely the world’s best,” Shreyas said.
