Darby’s Anita Alexander and Lansdowne’s Walter Davis III began the journey toward the wedding of their dreams with matching numbers at their workplace, writes Kellie Patrick Gates for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

In 2007, Alexander, whose family had emigrated from Trinidad and Tobago, started working at the Chick-Fil-A in Springfield. Soon, she noticed that whenever she punched in the part of her Social Security number that clocked her in, Davis’s name popped up. The pair’s digits were a perfect match.

Davis was not working there at the time, but when he returned in 2008, Alexander brought up the connection.

“You stole my last four digits!” she joked. “You stole my identity!”

“Aren’t you from Trinidad, and didn’t you just move here?” replied Davis. “You stole my identity!”

Before long, they started discussing their dreams. Alexander wanted to practice law after finishing her criminal-justice studies, and Davis aimed to manage a hotel.

The friendship soon blossomed into love, with Davis popping the question four years ago at LOVE Park in Center City. The couple recently got married at a beautiful ceremony in the garden at The Waterfall in Claymont, Del.

Davis, now 29, is assistant general manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Phoenixville, while Alexander, 27, is an associate attorney at Lowey Dannenberg Cohen & Hart in West Conshohocken.
