A fashion designer’s travels to Italy inspired a Palazzo-style home in Sarasota, Florida that is being sold by Jon Boscia, former CEO of Lincoln Financial Group with headquarters in Radnor.

He and his wife, Donna, are listing the property for $11.995 million, writes Sarah Paynter for The Wall Street Journal.

Jon and Donna Boscia paid $8.47 million for the property and another $2 million on renovations.

The 7,700-square-foot, six-bedroom home was designed by Adrienne Vittadini, founder of the Adrienne Vittadini fashion brand.

The Boscias, both in their 60s, are downsizing to a nearby condo.

“As we continue to get a little older and slow down, we want to make things easier,” said Mr. Boscia.

The home includes a saltwater infinity pool, a hot tub, an outdoor kitchen, and a dock.

There are two walls of glass in the primary bedroom looking out on the New Pass inlet.

“My favorite thing is definitely the view of the ocean. Every day, we get dolphins, which are my favorite,” said Ms. Boscia. “They come up to the dock, and we watch the babies learn how to jump out of the water.”

You’ll also find lemon, lime, orange, banana, and coconut trees.
