Scrub Daddy, which had its roots in Folcroft and found its path to success on “Shark Tank” and at QVC, is building its first brick-and-mortar store, writes Kennedy Rose for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 900 square-foot Smile Shop will open in May at Scrub Daddy’s new headquarters in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Scrub Daddy moved from Folcroft to the $10.7 million, 116,000 square-foot facilities in November.

CEO Aaron Krause says the company can take products that test well at the Smile Shop and offer the products in bulk to big box stores.

“We have all chains. We have all channels. And if I can’t sell this product in our big box, we’ll sell it at our own store,” Krause said. “And then the big box will come back and they’ll want it. And that’s just fine.”

The store will offer products now available online, including sponges, dusters, erasers, and new products, like a barbecue brush, dish wand system, new mops, and a toilet wand.

Shoppers can take pictures with the Scrub Daddy and Mommy mascot, and watch Krause film spots for QVC or other channels.  It will also be a museum for the family’s history.
