The Pennsylvania Insitute of Technology (P.I.T.) in Media announced that 46 of 91 P.I.T. graduates that attended a recent hiring event hosted by the Crozer Healthcare System have formally expressed an interest in working for the healthcare provider and have completed the required application to move forward there.

“We wish them luck as they take the next step toward their Nursing Careers!,” stated an article in the P.I.T. newsletter.

Crozer Health is the largest employer in Delaware County, according to its website, offering a “competitive salary and benefits packages,” as well as a “rich array of professional educational opportunities.”

Crozer, which is experiencing staffing shortages, is currently offering nursing applicants a sign-on bonus, top-tier wages and benefits, tuition reimbursement, generous time off, and flexible self-scheduling, according to its website.

In December, Crozer Health announced a student loan forgiveness program to help retain and attract nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.

The program reimburses up to $10,000 annually per person, to a maximum of $50,000 over five years, to help pay student loans incurred by those obtaining an initial RN (or BSN), PT, or OT degree, as well as advanced degrees.

The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is a private non-profit college that offers an education for career development and advancement,

It offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing under an RN-to-BSN program giving registered professional nurses an educational foundation to enhance job opportunities for management roles in healthcare.
