Chester Footwear Designers Take Their Cues From Their Customers

By

Chester-based company Jrkickz has been catching the wave of change in athleisure wear for the past 10 years.

Founder Breon Barrett and co-founder Ron Alexander design “anything and everything” athletic wear, inspired by the culture around them.

“The people drive Jrkickz. If they request it and we’re in a position to make it happen for the people, that’s what we do, “ says Barrett.  “We wanna be that brand where we represent a little bit of everything.”

In the past two years, they’ve created eye-catching footwear, writes Todd Haas for 6abc.com.

“I think that in the sneaker line now it’s just repetitive,” said Barrett. “We wanna bring some new flavors some new styles, new designs on top of an affordable comfortable sneaker overall.”

Their unique shoe designs represent their customers, like the upcoming blueprint, a newly-designed top-of-the-line sneaker coming out in spring 2022.

“We wanna be that brand that speaks for those that don’t have a voice,” says Barrett.

Proud of the work they do, they say seeing people wear their brand is the ultimate reward.

“It’s inspiring to be able to go out into the world and see your brand be represented by people we don’t even know,” says Alexander.
