Bobbi Morgan, recognized for her 35 years of basketball coaching along the Main Line, has been hired as the new varsity head basketball coach and assistant athletic director at Agnes Irwin School, writes Bruce Adams for paprelive.com.

Morgan, from Havertown, has been head woman’s basketball coach at Haverford College for 13 years.

She’s coached at four different Main Line Schools; Haverford College, Cabrini University, Haverford High School and Academy of Notre Dame, leading teams to nearly 600 basketball wins.

Now she’s ready for a new challenge as she returns to a high school level of coaching.

“Last year, like a lot of people, I had a lot of time for thinking – COVID really changed the perspective of the value of time and how you spend it,” said Morgan. “It was the first summer I had been home in about 15 years. It was great – I wasn’t exhausted, I wasn’t working every weekend, travelling all over the country.”

Morgan led the Haverford College team to three Centennial Conference championships and they advanced to the NCAA tournament four times.  She is the winningest coach in the college’s history.
