17 New COVID-19 Cases in Delaware County Reported Since Monday

No new COVID-19-related death were reported Wednesday, June 30, according to the Chester County Health Department.

The health department is reporting a total of 1,459 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Of total fatalities, 838 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 48 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

New cases

Seventeen new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported for Wednesday, June 30 since cases were last reported Monday, June 28 in Delaware County.

Total cases for June 30 is 49,890.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 754, affecting 11.61 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 7,519 cases reported, or 9.06 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

Negative tests

The county has had 256,315 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 96.63 percent recovery rate.
