Only 4 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Delaware County for June 21

One new COVID-19-related death was reported from Haverford Monday, June 21, according to the Chester County Health Department.

The health department is reporting a total of 1,456 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Of those, 838 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 48 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

New cases

Four new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported for Monday, June 21 since cases were last reported Thursday, June 17 in Delaware County.

Total cases for June 21 is 49,847.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 753, affecting 11.59 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 7,492 cases reported, or 9.03 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

Negative tests

The county has had 254,068 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 96.43 percent recovery rate.
