Six women suffered blood clots from the Johnson & Johnson shot two weeks ago. One has died. Another is critical.

“We had every intention to vaccinate at the time for those who were willing to be vaccinated and wanted to be vaccinated. (Tuesday) morning’s announcement really put a curveball in.” said County Councilman Kevin Madden, chairman of the Jail Oversight Board.
Delaware County gave the J& J vaccine to 4,500 residents at a weekend mass vaccination clinic. The clinic was at Delaware County Community College.
The site will be relocated. The Moderna or Pfizer vaccine will be used instead.
Those with upcoming appointments at the college will be contacted.
Anyone who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and experiences a severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain or shortness of breath should call their health care provider.
