No COVID-19 county or municipal statistics, including the number of new cases and COVID-19 deaths, were available over the weekend from the Chester County Health Department or the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The last available county information available was Friday, Feb. 26, in which 37,795 total positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Delaware County by the Chester County Health Department.

The health department also reported 1,272 COVID-19-related deaths as of Feb. 26, 799 occurring in long-term care facilities or personal care homes.

Pennsylvania data

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Feb. 28, that there were 5,306 additional cases of COVID-19 statewide between Friday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 28. The total number of cases stands at 931,642.

There were 84 additional COVID-19 deaths reported statewide between Friday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 28. Total deaths statewide are now 24,021.
