More Vaccine Flows to Delaware County as Governor Further Eases Restrictions

By

Pennsylvania delivered more COVID-19 vaccines to Delaware County this week after receiving complaints from local, state, and federal representatives that the county was being shortchanged, reports Marcus Espinoza for www.fox29.com.

At an Upper Darby High mass vaccination site Sunday, more than 1,200 eligible residents lined up to get a COVID-19 shot, thanks to a tripling of the county’s Moderna vaccine allotment.

“Finally some of the vaccine is coming through, it’s been a struggle, really it’s just been trying to get it on a regular basis so we’re not canceling and rescheduling,” Director of Emergency Services Timothy Boyce said. “As vaccine becomes more and more available Delaware County is ready to get it into people’s arms.”

The county is expecting its first allotment of the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine in the next two or three weeks.
