124 New COVID-19 Cases Reported for Thursday in Delaware County, With 2 Deaths

Two additional COVID-19 deaths have been reported as of Thursday, Feb. 11 in Delaware County.

The COVID-19 death toll in Delaware County stands at 1,232 as of Wednesday.

Of total deaths reported, 786 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes, according to the latest statistics from the Chester County Health Department.

One death was reported in Nether Providence and 1 was reported in Brookhaven.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 46 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

The health department reported 124 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County as of Thursday, Feb. 11, with total cases now at 36,190.

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 1,050, or 9.13 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby has the most cases, with 5,428 cases reported, or 6.54 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 797 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has yet been assigned.

The county has had 198,679 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 86.84 percent recovery rate.

Cases broken down by age groups, as reported Thursday, Feb. 11, are:

  • Under 10: 1,379 cases
  • 10 to 19: 3,642 cases
  • 20 to 29: 6,129 cases  
  • 30 to 39: 5,299 cases  
  • 40 to 49: 4,918 cases
  • 50 to 59: 5,672 cases
  • 60 to 69: 4,485 cases
  • 70 to 79: 2,293 cases
  • 80 and over: 2,370 cases

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Feb. 11 that there were 3,978 new  COVID-19 cases reported statewide. Total cases are now at  884,269.

 There were 115 additional deaths reported Feb. 11, for a new total of 22,860.
