Kohl's Corp. is set to enhance its stores in Havertown and Springfield with the introduction of a Babies "R" Us shop, amidst a major rollout of the baby brand.

Kohl’s Corp. is set to enhance its stores in Havertown and Springfield with the introduction of a Babies “R” Us shop, leading a major rollout of the baby brand in 200 stores across the country, writes Linda Spice for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Kohl’s Corps’ strategic partnership with WHP Global, owner of the Babies “R” Us brand, is aimed at attracting a younger demographic of shoppers.

The initiative, announced by Kohl’s in March, marks a significant push to expand the retailer’s baby product offerings.

The first of these new shops are expected to open in August. Tom Kingsbury, CEO of Kohl’s, emphasized the opportunity in the baby gear category.

The new section in the stores will range in size from 750 to 2,500 square feet and is designed to complement Kohl’s existing baby apparel and products.

Other nearby Kohl’s stores will also feature the new shops, including one in Bensalem. In South Jersey, the Babies “R” Us brand will open in Kohl’s stores in Voorhees, Mantua and Turnersville.

The remaining three are in Delaware in Wilmington, Newark and Middletown.
