10 COVID-19 Deaths Reported Wednesday With Total Delaware County Cases Up by 213

The Chester County Health Department is reporting a total of 32,960 positive cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County as of Wednesday, Jan. 20, an increase of 213 cases.

There were 32,747 positive cases reported Tuesday.

Ten additional COVID-19 deaths have been reported , for a new total of 1,071.

Two deaths were reported from Middletown, 2 from Marple, 2 from Nether Providence, 1 from Chester, 1 from Clifton Heights, 1 from Marcus Hook, and 1 from Trainer.

Of total deaths reported, 716 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 46 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 988, or 8.59 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby has the most cases, with 5,006 cases reported, or 6.03 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 730 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has yet been assigned.

The county has had 188,657people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 80.72 percent recovery rate.

  • 10 to 19: 3,240 cases
  • 20 to 29: 5,640 cases  
  • 30 to 39: 4,865 cases  
  • 40 to 49: 4,481 cases
  • 50 to 59: 5,166 cases
  • 60 to 69: 4,066 cases
  • 70 to 79: 2,085cases
  • 80 and over: 2,226 cases
