TJ Colaiezzi of Springfield, founder and CEO of social media software company LifeBrand,  is helping medical patients and families who need a place during treatment get the help they need, reports Jessica Boyington and Heather Grubola for 6abc.com.

He has contributed $5,000 to the HEADStrong Foundation which runs Nick’s House in Swarthmore.

HEADStrong was started by Cheryl Colleouori who lost her son Nick to cancer while he was still in college.

She recalls leaving the hospital one night seeing another kid’s father getting ready to sleep in his car because he had nowhere to stay.

Nick’s House provides patients and families a place to stay for free, for as long as they need.

The pandemic has hurt the Foundation’s fundraising so Colaiezzi stepped up.

“I’m a big believer in that businesses, I should try to give back,” he said.

“We’re by no means a billion-dollar company, but we have enough that we can make a donation, and if that will encourage others to be able to do that, I just think it’ll be a great thing to help people out.”
