Pennsylvania Sees More Than 8,000 New Cases of COVID With Delaware County Totals at 20,762

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 20,762 cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County as of 10 p.m. Dec. 1.

Delaware County COVID-19 statistics for Wednesday, Dec. 2 were unavailable from the Chester County Health Department.

As of Dec. 1, there were 852 COVID-19-related deaths reported in the county.

Of those, 638 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

Municipal statistics were unavailable from the Chester County Health Department for Wednesday, Dec. 2.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Dec. 2, that there were 8,291 new cases of COVID-19 statewide, with the total number of cases now at 375.431.

There were 194 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide, with total deaths for Wednesday, Dec. 2 reported at 10,757.
