2020 has been particularly challenging, especially for families with mental health needs.

Staying healthy while putting food on the table and keeping the roof over their heads, are top priorities for families.

With the holiday season ahead, families are under even more stress worrying about how to provide a gift for their children this year.

Child Guidance is a private, nonprofit organization that has been providing life-changing mental health services for children and families for over 64 years.

Many families in its 24 programs struggle to make wishes come true for their kids in this holiday season.

Holiday Wish List provides a means to help.  Each year Child Guidance therapists identify the neediest children for the Holiday Wish List.

This year, about 200 children have been nominated to be adopted by donors for this drive.

You can help fulfill the wish of a child or an entire family with your support.

If you would like to “adopt” a family, click here, then send an email to lrichmond@cgrc.org with the number of the family being adopted.

It’s recommended that you have a back-up family in the event your first choice is taken.

Information will then be sent to you about the next steps, along with the COVID-safe drop-off.

At Child Guidance Resource Centers, gift-giving goes beyond the individual circles. It’s about reaching out to help children in need to receive something special for the holidays. The goal is to make sure no children on its list are left without a gift this holiday season.
