State Sees Record Number of New COVID-19 Cases, With Delaware County Totals Now Above 15,500

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 15,592 cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County as of Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The day before, on Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Chester County Health Department reported 15,316 cases in Delaware County.

The county death toll from COVID-19 as of Nov. 10 was 825.

Of those total deaths reported, 629 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

County and municipal statistics were unavailable for Nov. 11 from the Chester County Health Department.

Statewide, there were 4,711 new COVID-19 cases reported as of noon, Nov. 11 for a total of 243,368 cases.

There were 125 new COVID-19-related deaths for the state reported as of noon, Nov. 11, with total deaths now listed at 9145, according to the  Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Statewide, 2,488,761 people have tested negative for the virus.
