Relay Network in Radnor Lays Foundation for Massive Growth as Companies Seek Out Its Software
The Radnor-based tech firm Relay Network is laying a foundation with two new key hires as it experiences tremendous growth, writes Michelle Caffrey for Philadelphia Business Journal.
Relay makes customer engagement software used by companies such as Comcast, Citizens Bank and Independence Blue Cross. —
Relay is building on a $30 million infusion of growth capital it received last year from Center City private equity firm LLR Partners.
It has brought in CFO Frank McAnally, formerly CFO of InstaMed, and Chief Product Officer Derek Bluestone, and has shifted existing leadership roles to keep things going.
The company is continuing rapid customer growth, with more than 50 million end users.
“We are quietly creating a massive business, and LLR’s really allowed us to fuel that growth and to scale and maximize the opportunity,” said Relay CEO Matt Gillin.
The pandemic has actually created an “esprit de corps” and camaraderie on the Relay teams, Gillin said, It’s also given them space to think about the big picture.
The pandemic also made Relay’s software more attractive as companies figured out new ways to stay in touch with customers.
