By

It’s that time again, Thanksgiving is here, but where to get the best Thanksgiving meal around? If you aren’t up to cooking or want to be socially distant, these are just a few delicious Delco restaurants* that have what you need to enjoy a tasty Thanksgiving meal.

The Porch Restaurant at The Lamb Tavern (located at 865 West Springfield Road in Springfield, 610-544-3300) is open for Thanksgiving Dinner from 1 pm until 5:30 pm, with a traditionally eclectic menu. Small plates like Thai shrimp, cream of mushroom soup, or bacon-wrapped sweet potatoes, and seasonal salads to start. For the main entrée, enjoy roast turkey with stuffing and gravy, roasted garlic-pepper salmon, parmesan-herbed butter sirloin and fries, broiled jumbo crab cakes, or lobster ravioli, plus a children’s menu. Save room for dessert, enjoy pumpkin pie, Bassett’s ice cream and sorbet, chocolate mousse, or New York-style cheesecake for those with a sweet tooth.

Brandywine Prime: Seafood and Chops @ Chadds Ford Inn (located at 1617 Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford, 610-388-8088) is open for Thanksgiving Dinner from 1pm to 7pm on November 26th as well as offering Thanksgiving To Go on November 25th for pickup. Family-style salads, soups (Kennett Square Mushroom soup or Butternut Squash & Pumpkin Bisque), ready-to-cook brined and seasoned turkey or 5lb house-roasted organic turkey breast, plus mashed potatoes, Italian sausage stuffing, French green beans, house-made cranberry sauce and Stirato dinner rolls. Dessert is either Pumpkin Bread Pudding or Fall Apple Crisp. You can’t go wrong with these delicious options, so call today to place your order or reservation.

The Inn at Swarthmore’s Broad Table Tavern (located at 10 South Chester Road in Swarthmore, 610-543-7500) has got you covered; don’t cook, just pick up and heat up! Start with fresh rolls, mushroom bisque, salad, roast turkey and stuffing, or glazed Virginia ham with a fruit compote, and choice of two sides, sweet yams, roasted butternut squash, garlic mashed potatoes or green bean casserole. Top it off with apple pie or pumpkin pie and your dinner is done. You also can dine in from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm on Thanksgiving Day, reservations are required.

The New American Bistro (located at 217 Morton Avenue in Folsom, 484-497-8111) is offering a 3-course traditional turkey dinner for pickup, starting with butternut squash & apple soup or salads, then baked turkey with sweet and mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce, and green beans, and of course, pumpkin pie for dessert, along with apple pie or peanut butter pie. There are other options too, if turkey isn’t your thing, like salmon and shrimp with lobster sauce, orange roughy & lobster ravioli, and herb-crusted rack of lamb, and filet mignon with Gorgonzola sauce.

*Please call ahead with dinner orders and reservations at each restaurant, and ask about reservation times, curbside pickup, mask requirements, social distancing, and other COVID-19 protocols. Please respect the establishments that you visit.
