There are still plenty of beautiful walks to be taken in the days and weeks ahead.

Delaware County has several picturesque spots for fall scenery, reports phillymag.com.

Check ahead, though, for COVID-19 restrictions or closures.

John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum

This park just off I-95 near the airport has 10 miles of tree-lined gravel trails.

The trails include boardwalk crossings that take you out over the water. You’ll also catch great views of Center City.

Tyler Arboretum

This tree reserve offers six trails, including the 7.4-mile Minshall Trail, runs 7.4 miles. It will take you past the remains of a 200-year-old farm.

Ridley Creek State Park

One of the county’s better known parks has 13 miles of wooded trails, hiking trails and a paved, five-mile walking and biking path.

Haverford College Nature Trail

The college features a 2.25-mile gravel and dirt loop on campus,  through woods in the heart of the Main Line.

Wawa Preserve

This more reclusive 98-acre Nature Preserve is behind Wawa headquarters off Rt. 1 in Media.

Four miles of unpaved trails take you through a mix of grassy meadows and thick woods. Download the Natural Lands app for interactive maps.
