Delaware County COVID-19 Case Total Now Past 16,000, With 831 Deaths Reported

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 16,340 cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County as of Saturday, Nov. 15, the last day statistics were available.

That compares to 15,966 cases reported Nov. 13, pushing the case total above the 16,000 mark.

The county death toll from COVID-19 as of Friday, Nov. 13, was 831, according to the Chester County Health Department.

Of those deaths, 631 were in long-term care facilites and personal care homes,  according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

County and municipal statistics were unavailable for Nov. 15 from the Chester County Health Department.

Statewide, there were 10,750 new COVID-19 cases reported between noon Friday, Nov. 13 and noon, Sunday, Nov. 15.  The statewide total as of Sunday is 265,137.

There were 88 new COVID-19-related deaths reported between noon Friday, Nov. 13 and noon, Sunday, Nov. 13.

Total deaths statewide now stand at 9,312, according to the  Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Statewide, 2,559,456 people have tested negative for the virus.
