There were 17,756 total COVID-19 cases reported in Delaware County on Friday, Nov. 20, according to the Chester County Health Department.
The day before, the health department reported 17,500 cases for the county.
There were also two additional COVID-19-related deaths reported Friday in Middletown and Darby Township. Total deaths now number 838.
Of those, 634 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 40 of the county’s 49 municipalities.
Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 692, or 6.03 percent of its 11,471 population.
Upper Darby has the most cases, with 2,752 cases reported, or 3.31 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 405 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has yet been assigned.
The county has had 149,684 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 69.58 percent recovery rate.
