This year, the traditional 5-mile Radnor Run for the American Lung Association won’t involve runners at the Radnor Municipal Building.

This year, the 43rd Annual Run for the American Lung Association is going virtually worldwide, writes Ryan Richards for the Daily Times.

Steve McMenamin, who serves on the Radnor Run committee, has already signed up 49 runners from international vendor finance company De Lage Landen (DLL) in Wayne. They’re running in Australia, Germany, Brazil, Switzerland and Spain.

McMenamin is a DLL sales manager and team captain.

DLL is a local sponsors with Bryn Mawr Trust, Radnor Township, BDP International, Independence Blue Cross, Penn Medicine Radnor-Valley Forge, Apt Management, Good Shepherd Penn Partners, Moore Jones LLC, and Genentech.

“Though the global pandemic shifted the Radnor Run to a virtual event, it provided an opportunity to get more co-workers around the world involved to help raise awareness and funds to end lung disease, including COVID-19,” explained McMenamin of Phoenixville.

The virtual Radnor Run takes place Sunday, Oct. 25. Participants can register in the 5-Mile Race, 2-Mile Walk, or 1-Mile Kids Fun Run (ages 12 and under) at their location of choice.
