The Philadelphia Business Journal recently held its first-ever 50 on Fire in Philly Awards at the SugarHouse Casino to honor the fastest-growing companies in Greater Philadelphia, writes Clara Lefton, the publication’s Special Projects Producer.

Although the identity of the 50 companies had been made public weeks before, the PBJ used the event to reveal the actual ranking of each company.

The 50 on Fire in Philly is based off of revenue growth over a three-year time period from 2013-2015.

“Greater Philadelphia’s economy is increasingly diverse and dynamic,” said PBJ Publisher Sandy Smith. “We consider it a crucial part of our mission to identify and recognize the companies driving our region’s growth.”

Companies were required to be headquartered in Greater Philadelphia, have no parent company, and have generated at least $750,000 in revenue in 2013 and at least $2 million in 2015 to qualify.

Delaware County is home to five of the companies on the list, while its neighbors, Montgomery County and Chester County, had 23 and seven, respectively.

Here is how Delaware County’s lineup stacked up:

  • 17th – Traditions of America (Radnor)
  • 24th – Wilson Legal Solutions (Newtown Square)
  • 36th – Partner’s Consulting (Havertown)
  • 41st – Nolan Painting Inc. (Havertown)
  • 44th – Arora Engineers (Chadds Ford)
