LifeStance Health Inc., a national outpatient behavioral health company, is expanding into Delaware County with three locations, writes John George and Natalie Kostelni for Philadelphia Business Journal.

“We expect to have six to nine new offices there between now and the end of 2021,” said Danish Qureshi, LifeStance’s chief growth officer. “We will essentially be doubling our footprint in the Philadelphia market.”

LifeStance Health Inc. has seven existing practice sites in the Philadelphia area.

Specific locations in Delaware County are:

2,811 square feet at 2010 West Chester Pike in Havertown;

4,745 square feet at 1055 Baltimore Ave. in Media;

4,179 square feet at 600 Evergreen Drive in Glen Mills.

LIfeStance is also looking at three locations in Philadelphia.

Future plans include sites in Doylestown, Ardmore, Exton, King of Prussia and Bensalem.

LifeStance, founded in 2017 out of Bellevue, Washington, employs 2,500 psychiatrists, psychologist and licensed therapists in 19 states and 1,000 additional nonclinical staff.

The company came into the Philadelphia area last year through its acquisition of Delaware County Professional Services, which had provided mental health services regionally for a decade.

The Philadelphia region can benefit from mental health services as people cope with COVID stress.
