Delaware County infant Lily Mazzola (Lily M.) is remembered with cupcakes, kind gestures and the gift of life, reports Dan Koob for Philadelphia.cbslocal.com.

The Mazzola family purchased cupcakes on their daughter Lily’s heavenly birthday to Deb Cuoco’s daughter, Alexandria.

Lily M. suffered a fatal stroke and was born brain dead.  The decision was made to donate her usable organs.

The Mazzola’s say Lily’s heart was given to a young boy while her other usable organs donated for research.

The two families vowed to keep her name alive.

After the cupcakes were presented, the Cuoco family sang happy birthday to Lily.

“We’re so grateful the cupcakes went to someone like Deb and Alexandra,” Jay Mazzola said.

She’s also remembered through a book, in pictures, through a tattoo on her father’s arm and through the cupcakes.

“She was a gift. So we want to continue to celebrate the fact that she was born,” Lily’s mother said.
