55 New Cases of COVID-19 Reported for Delaware County for a New Total of 8,859

COVID-19 statistics for Delaware County were unavailable from the Chester County Health Department for Monday, Aug. 3.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 55 additional cases of COVID-19 for Monday, Aug. 3 in Delaware County since Sunday, Aug. 2

Total number of cases in the county as of Aug. 3 is 8,859.

State statistics do not include a municipal breakdown of COVID-19 cases.

The Chester County Health Department reported 730 COVID-19 related deaths for Delaware County as of Thursday, July 30.  Of those, 581were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

There were 565 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania as of Monday, Aug. 3. Pennsylvania is now listing a total of 114,155 COVID-19 cases.

There were no additional COVID-19 deaths statewide reported, leaving the total at 7,209 deaths for Aug. 3, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Statewide, 1,142,414 people have tested negative for the virus.
