Delaware County COVID-19 Case Total Now 7,650, but No New Deaths Reported

There were 81 new cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County reported on Tuesday, July 14, bringing the county total to 7,650.

No additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported, with total deaths reported remaining at 709.

Of those, 566 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

Yeadon Borough has the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 438 cases, affecting 3.82 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby has the most cases reported, at 1,248, affecting 1.5 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 282 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.

The county has had 44,981people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting an 82.4 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, July 14, that there are 969 additional cases of COVID-19 statewide since July 13, for a new total 96,671.

There were 51 additional deaths reported with the total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 at 6,931.
