Kits, Signs and More to Help Delaware County Businesses Reopen Under Health Guidelines

By

In preparation for Delaware County’s shift to a yellow phase reopening on Friday, June 5, the “Bringing Back Delco Task Force” is offering links to purchase PPE kits and get free downloadable public health safety signs for display.

A common concern has been the lack of PPE and cleaning supplies available.

“In an effort to assist the local business community as they plan to open their doors, the Bringing Back Delco Task Force has assembled kits of the crucial supplies needed for these business owners to protect their employees, clients and customers as they transition back into the workplace,” according to the website.

The COVID-19 PPE Business Supply Kits must be ordered on the Delco Task Force website at a cost of $10.

The kits include hand sanitizer, 150 CDC-approved wipes, 200 gloves, 50 masks and social distancing floor signs.

Kits are for businesses only and are limited to one per business. Selecting and paying for more than one kit on the website will be considered a donation.

The ordered kits can be picked up Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Broomall Fire Company, 1 N. Malin Road in Broomall. No walk-up kits will be available.

Please note that orders for Saturday kits are sold out.

More kit ordering details can be found here.

Under a yellow phase reopening:

  • Restaurants may offer outdoor dining.
  • In-Person Retail Allowable, Curbside and Delivery Preferable (contact your local municipality about sidewalk tables, etc.)
  • Building Capacity must not exceed 50% (contact your local fire marshal to get that number)
  • Child Care Can Open Complying with Guidance
  • Congregate Care and Prison Restrictions Remain in Place
  • Schools Remain Closed for In-Person Instruction until July 1
  • Indoor Recreation, Health and Wellness Facilities and Personal Care Services (such as gyms, spas, hair salons, nail salons and other entities that provide massage therapy), and all Entertainment (such as casinos, theaters) Remain Closed

The Task force is a partnership between the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, Delaware County Council and the Delaware County Commerce Center to help business owners meet the government guidelines for reopening.

“Our goal is to simplify and share government orders to our businesses, as well as answer questions for you. We are not creating the regulations, but working to find you answers and solutions, so you can do business!” reads a statement on the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce website where the Task Force information can be found.

The Task Force will continue to offer webinars and assist business owner with safety guidelines, reopening protocols, plans and industry-specific information.

There is also a helpline, 610-565-3677, that business owners and manager can call with questions about navigating the CDC and state guidelines.
