23 More COVID-19 Cases Reported Friday in Delaware County, Three More Fatalities

As of Friday, June 26, there were 23 additional cases of COVID-19 reported in Delaware County.

Three more people also lost their lives to complications of COVID-19.

That brings the total number of positive cases in the county to 7,165 with the number of COVID-19 related deaths at 696. Of those, 558 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

Yeadon Borough has the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 423 cases, affecting 3.69 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby continues to have the most cases, at 1,172, affecting 1.41 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

There are 258 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has been assigned.

The county has had 34,500 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting an 82.09 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of midnight, June 26, that there are 600 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 84,370.

There are 6,579 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 22 new deaths.
