There are few certainties during these challenging times – especially as it relates to education – but one thing you can bank on is Delaware County Christian School’s commitment to excellence.

A non-denominational Christian school, DCCS is leading the way with teachers who are delivering exceptional care and instruction for students. Regardless of the educational landscape in the fall and beyond, they stand prepared to deliver a comprehensive, college-preparatory education coupled with a nurturing community.

With a Lower School in Devon that serves Pre-K through fifth-grade students and an Upper School in Newtown Square that serves sixth-grade through 12th-grade students, DCCS boasts a rich history and is a leader in Christian education. The school is home to a diverse community of remarkable teachers and learners who strive for excellence in everything they do. From scholarship to the arts and athletics, DCCS equips its students to impact the world.

“Our students are poised to engage a dynamic and fast-changing world through a commitment to excellence in a Christ-centered, liberal arts education,” said Daniel Steinfield, DCCS’s Head of School.

Founded in 1950, DCCS spans 49 acres across its two campuses and has a total enrollment of nearly 600 students, 98 percent of whom go on to attend college. The school’s student-to-faculty ratio is 10 to 1, and two-thirds of the faculty have graduate degrees. DCCS is also one of the more-affordable private schools in the Philadelphia area.

“As an older parent with grown children, my advice to younger families would be to put their children in situations where Christian role models will interact with them on a daily basis,” said the parent of one DCCS student. “Where God’s word is integrated into their lives on a daily basis, where failure is seen as a primary step to change, and where the world is seen as a created place that we can navigate through honest observation, truth seeking, and precision of method.”
