15 COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Delaware County as of Monday, 822 Cases

There are now 15 COVID-19 deaths reported in Delaware County and 822 confirmed cases as of Monday, April 6, 11:31 a.m.,according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The highest number of fatalities come out of Marple and Middletown Townships, where four people in each township has died from COVID-19.

Two deaths have been reported in Ridley Township.

Newtown, Darby Borough, Yeadon Borough, Ridley Park and Springfield report one fatality each due to COVID-19.

The virus continues to be reported in 45 out of 49 municipalities.

There are 257 cases under investigation that are not yet tied to a municipality.

Upper Darby continues to lead other Delaware County municipalities in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, at 89.

Haverford Township has 52. Marple has 31. Radnor has 29. Middletown has 28. Newtown has 25.  Nether Providence has 23. Springfield has 21. Ridley has 20 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Thornbury Townships have 18 cases. Lansdowne, Yeadon and Aston have 17 cases each. Darby Borough has 16 cases.  Upper Chichester has14.  Concord Township has 13.  Collingdale and the city of Chester have 11 cases each.

Darby Township, Swarthmore and Upper Providence have 9 cases each.

Ridley Park has 8 cases.

East Lansdowne Borough has 6 cases.

Trainer, Colwyn, Aldan, Folcroft, Clifton Heights and Sharon Hill have five reported cases each.

There were 4 cases each in Morton, Bethel, Edgmont, and Parkside.

Three cases each were reported each Chadds Ford, Chester Township, Millbourne and Glenolden.

Two cases each were reported each in Eddystone, Rose Valley and Tinicum.

One case each was reported in Brookhaven, Chester Heights, Norwood and Prospect Park.

No cases were reported in Lower Chichester, Marcus Hook, Rutledge and Upland.

The highest number of reported cases, 172, occurred for those ages 50 to 59.

The second highest number, 145, occurred for individuals ages 30 to 39.

The third highest number, 133, occurred for individuals ages 40 to 49.

The fourth highest number of cases, 124 each, occurred for those ages 20 to 29.

The fifth highest number of cases, 123, occurred for those ages 60 to 69.

The county had 3,642 people test negative for the virus.
