There is still time to register for the Elwyn Day Festival and Fun Walk.

Elwyn is hosting its first-ever Elwyn Day that combines a 5K Run, Fun Walk and Festival this Saturday morning, Oct. 19, 8:30 to 11 a.m., at Elwyn’s main campus, 111 Elwyn Road, in Media.

In addition to a somewhat challenging course for runners, there’s a more leisurely walk for families and a festival that offers games like Ring Toss and Skee Ball, a Bounce House, arts and crafts, face painting, music, and, of course, food.

The day’s events celebrate the work of the dedicated Elwyn staff, as well as the clients they serve and their families.

It also serves as a fundraiser for campus recreational and  holiday activities, with a goal of raising $30,000.

Registration is closed for the 5K Run.  Last day to register for the Festival and Fun Walk is today, Thursday, Oct. 17. 

Registration and ticket purchase is necessary ahead of time on line to participate in the Festival or Walk.  Cost of the Fun Walk and Festival is $25, with children age 5 and under admitted free.

The Festival opens at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 11a.m. A DJ will provide music. Food will be available, including doughnuts, apple cider and soft pretzels.  In the event of rain, the festival will take place in the gym.

The Fun Walk begins at 9:15 a.m.
