Scaramuzza’s Pasta Products, Inc. of Clifton Heights is moving to 412 S. Springfield Road, and bringing back its walk-in retail store front, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.

The 57-year-old family business is scheduled to be up and running by late October or early November.

“Business has been booming,” stated owner Bob Scaramuzza, of Springfield, who currently owns the Scaramuzza Pasta Products plant at 20 Ogden St. in Clifton Heights. “If we want to continue to grow our business, we had to move to a larger facility.”

The new state-of-the art Scaramuzza’s Pasta Products has a 2,500 square-foot freezer, a climate-controlled kitchen with a 10 burner stove and six sinks, an 800 square-foot store front, loading docks and more.

The new site will have plenty of parking.

Scaramuzza’s Pasta moved to the borough with its homemade past and products in 1963. It was founded in West Philadelphia by Bob Scaramuzza’s grandmother, Clementine DeLoggo and his mother, Mary Scaramuzza.

In 2016, Scaramuzza’s Pasta Products closed its walk-in retail store at 435 N. Springfield Road, Clifton Heights, after 50 years but continued its wholesale operation.

It now has products in more than 200 store locations.
