Cheryl Stevens, who has been serving delicious food from her stand at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester for a decade, is finally promoting her business with a new sign, writes Kathleen Carey for the Delaware County News Network.

The Cheryl’s Southern Style Cuisine sign is now hanging in all its fluorescent glory above Stand 104 in Talen Energy Stadium, thanks to the Philadelphia Union and Roe Fabricators.

“I couldn’t believe it when I looked around the corner and I saw it,” said Stevens. “I’m happy to finally see it come to fruition.”

The 56-year-old entrepreneur sells her famous fried chicken, biscuits with caramelized onions, pulled pork with coleslaw, and homemade mac and cheese at her stand.

She also teaches culinary arts to sophomores, juniors, and seniors at Chester High School. The top performers get the chance to work at her catering operations at the Market Street Ballroom in Marcus Hook.

Her dishes are also available at several local universities, including West Chester, Saint Joseph’s, and Immaculata.
