Student from Norwood Stars in Live Nativity at Neumann University

A recreation of the Three Kings visiting the Nativity.

Glen Mills residents Dr. Chris and Mary Domes, Neumann University’s president and first lady, recently narrated the Christmas story at the university’s outdoor Live Nativity.

Nearly 200 people attended the annual campus tradition.

Dan LaJudice of Norwood took center stage as St. Francis, while Lena Farrell of Kennett Square starred as Mary.

The performance was based on the Franciscan tradition of the crib, first celebrated in Greccio, Italy in 1223 when a group of friars, organized by St. Francis of Assisi, led a singing throng of local residents to re-enact the birth of Christ.

The program also featured the sounds of sacred Christmas music, performed by the Children’s Choir of Aston’s Holy Family Regional School.
