Case Manager

This position interviews newly admitted inmates and develops detailed knowledge of an assigned caseload; resolves inmate problems, complaints, and concerns with general counseling techniques; logs and distributes legal and certified mail and coordinates inmate telephone use.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and a background in corrections; good verbal and written communication skills; flexibility and empathy to the needs of staff and inmates; and the ability to implement team strategic approaches to work assignments.

Medical Records Clerk

This position maintains the proper handling, organization, and preservation of all inmate medical records; prepares monthly statistics and reports; schedules appointments with outside consulting health professionals; and performs other secretarial duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of one year of experience in an established medical records system; a proven history of exercising discretion and retaining confidentiality; and solid organizational and communication skills.

Substance Abuse Counselor

This position provides counseling services and assists the inmates in adjusting to facility life; assists inmates in obtaining needed services; assists with unit management activities as needed; and monitors work details to ensure that appropriate assignments and quotas are filled.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related discipline; experience working in a correctional setting; effective group and individual therapy skills; good verbal and written communication skills; and a valid driver’s license.
